Kobe Bryant, 41, and his 13-year-old daughter Gianna were among nine people killed after a helicopter crashed Sunday morning and caught fire on a hillside in the Calabasas area outside Los Angeles, California.
Bryant also won an Academy Award for Best Short Animated film in 2018 for "Dear Basketball," the telling of his retirement from basketball at the end of the 2015-16 season. The six-minute film was scored by John Williams and animated by Glen Keane.
